Courage & Conviction Cuvee Single Cask #2572 was filled on November 26, 2017 and was bottled after 7 years and 5 months of aging. This whisky shows beautiful notes of milk chocolate, pecan pie, candied ginger. A rounded mouthfeel leads to a soft, complex finish with a lingering hint of barrel spice.
Nose: It’s a dessert pour. It’s like smelling homemade berry pie. Sweet, malty, maple/brown sugar oatmeal. The aroma is amazing, inviting. Brown sugar, oats, toasty goodness. It could also be described as “juicy”.
Palate: Nice viscosity, chewy with a hint of caramel and maple. It’s savory, it’s mouthcoating, it’s damn good. Great body and balance.
Finish: Long, lingering, savory….legs for days.
