Sunny of course, but not over-ripe, this is definitely a big wine, not much more than 14%, but explosive on the palate. This wine can carry it, but you will really have to wait to enjoy it at its best.”

“From a domaine-owned plot facing due south in Les Pougets, purchased by the Jadot family in the 19th century. Somewhat closed initially, but opening with a bit of time to show a ripe pear fruit character, with hints of beeswax and fresh hay. On the palate, the wine is rich and substantial, with balanced acidity that reflects the southern exposition. With time this should open well, for there is a lot of potential here.”
