2015 Wild Hog Lost Creek Vineyard Yorkville Highlands Pinot Noir

The vineyard is entirely farmed organically and produces an beautifully focused and decidedly not heavy handed style of Pinot weighing in at 13.5% alcohol. The vineyard produced a moderate 2 tons per acre and the average vine age is 30+ years old.
This wine opens up with a nice lifted and savory style in the aromatics followed by dried cherry, mint and herbal notes on the palate, which are nicely delineated. Gracious and light on its feet, this Yorkville Highlands Pinot is on the ethereal side of things. We would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later.
Our staff notes that Yorkville Highlands has become a real sleeper region for Pinot Noir.
